About Tim Wood

After the loss of his camera during a 1988 rugby tour of Hawaii, Tim replaced it in a Waikiki camera shop with a good high end camera, funds being limited. On his return to the UK he decided to upgrade to a higher specification SLR camera. On that day, Tim Wood began an adventure in photography that has led to the creation of this website.

By mastering the techniques, first of 35mm film, and later digital technology, Tim has been able to produce thousands of images, some of which are featured here. His stunning landscape photographs speak eloquently of the beauty to be found across Wales and beyond.

Much of Tim’s photography is taken in the area close to his home in South Wales. The Welsh Heritage Coast between Penarth and Ogmore by Sea offers many fine examples of varied coastal scenery, as does any other parts of Wales including the Gower Peninsula and the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Tim has also travelled extensively around the world, and some of the photographs here are as a result of some of these visits.
